Susete Fernandes

Biography: 
Susete Fernandes holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science at NOVA School of Science and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon, and a researcher at CENIMAT|i3N. Her research focuses on bio-derived polymeric, liquid-crystalline and nanocellulose-based materials with tailored functional properties, particularly for photonic, sensing, coating and biomedical applications. She is a founding member and Treasurer of the Portuguese Liquid Crystal Society and a committee member of the Royal Society of Chemistry Chemical Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Network.
