Funding Opportunities
AMLCI Student Grants
The Advanced Materials and Liquid Crystal Institute (AMLCI) of Kent State University is partnering with ILCC 2026 to offer students a chance to receive one of two types of financial support:
- AMLCI Registration Fee Grant (reimbursement of registration fees up to 540$ CAD)
- AMLCI Travel Support Grant (reimbursement of admissible travel fees up to a maximum of 500$ CAD)
Eligibility criteria:
- At the time of the conference, be a student enrolled in a Masters, PhD, MD, or other professional school degree
- Be physically present in Québec during the conference to present your research (poster or oral)
Materials required to apply:
- A support letter from your academic supervisor including 1) confirmation of your academic status, 2) their support for you presenting your results at ILCC 2026;
- A short statement to describe your financial need (100 words or less);
- A short statement to describe your academic interests, career goals, current academic status, and how participation in the conference will help you achieve your professional goals (200 words or less).

ICAM Grants
Two types of grants are available for ICAM member students, post-docs and young researchers:
- ICAM Registration Fee Waiver
- ICAM Travel Support Grant
Presenting authors who declared their ICAM membership in the abstract submission form are eligible to either ICAM Registration Fee Waiver or ICAM Travel Support Grant. Those eligible to both will receive an email confirming both supports. Notifications will be sent to all recipients on May 1, 2026.
