Wei Lee
Biographie:
Wei Lee received his M.S. degree in electro-optical engineering from National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Taiwan, in 1987 and Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL, in 1993. He was Visiting Assistant Professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Toledo, OH, between 1994 and 1997. Dr. Lee was affiliated with Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan, from 8/1997 to 1/2012, and Professor at NCTU since 2/2012. Merging with National Yang Ming Univesity in 2/2021, NCTU is now known as National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. He served on the editorial board of Optical Materials Express for two terms from its launch in 1/2011 to 12/2018, was President of Taiwan Liquid Crystal Society from 2014 to 2017 and Chair of the 3rd Asian Conference on Liquid Crystals (ACLC 2017), and co-chaired the 102nd OSA Frontiers in Optics (FiO 2018) held in Washington, D.C. Dr. Lee is a Fellow of SPIE and Optica, and currently an associate editor of Optics Express and Vice President of the International Liquid Crystal Society.
